What do you re//cognize in Others? In yourself?

how do we get
on each other’s
level?
Growing up in Seattle I learned the power is in the People. From my internship with Rebound of Whatcom County to my current partnership with Mindful Therapy Group, I encourage my clients to communicate their wants, needs, and perspectives with unbridled honesty.
Humans are born into play, into seeking connections through creativity. However, this is not yet the liberated world–many of us go most our lives divorced from these gifts. How has your ability to express yourself been supported? How can we remain curious to reveal your potential?
I earn trust by creating healing spaces in collaboration with others. Informed by liberating-direct-action with workers, survivors of mental health incarceration, + skilled professionals, I value lived-experience just as much as highfalutin philosophy. I believe in the universal, natural human drive to transform + heal through caring community connections, self-awareness, access to dreams by way of meeting basic needs, and the responsibility to recover personal and collective strengths. Healing of the self is healing of communities, and ultimately our interrelated societies. In place of paternalism, I offer avenues for developing your self-trust. In contrast to saviorism, I help my clients to see the divine in engaging meaning/lessness.
What may it take to turn self-punishment into self-acceptance, shame into compassion, and helplessness into meaningful choices?
When the world is cruel, how will you return to play? With a lifelong commitment to studying ableism, I’m always wondering how to build accessibility for all kinds of folks. Openness to critique means sharpening my awareness to live more.
Mental health care is something to be celebrated, not stigmatized. Let’s work together to see the flaws in our fundamentally exploitative, unhealthy society, to practice transformative care and recovery in yourself, to give as gifts to your loved ones, to every community you wish to live in, as an attainable addition to the day, fading into nights, integrated in dreams. Pleasure requires discipline. I’m here as part of your greater healing community to hold you accountable to your most honest needs and wants. Who are you real for?
My dream is for collective liberation. Will you join me?
